Daily Multivitamin Use: No Mortality Benefit Found

Share

A large-scale analysis involving over 390,000 healthy U.S. adults concluded that daily multivitamin use did not provide a mortality benefit. In contrast, it was associated with a 4% higher mortality risk. The study reviewed data from several diverse prospective studies and found that daily multivitamin use was not linked to a lower risk of death from any cause, including major causes like cancer and heart disease. Even though multivitamin use remains popular in the U.S., the study highlighted the need for further research to assess its impact on different populations and other health conditions associated with aging.
