In the interventional era of glaucoma treatment, the effectiveness of patient counseling is crucial. Glaucoma often goes unnoticed until significant damage occurs, complicating adherence to prescribed treatments. Patients may fear surgery more than the disease itself, perceiving medication as a safer option. To enhance outcomes, healthcare professionals should align interventions with patient complaints, emphasize glaucoma's seriousness, and promote evidence-based recommendations. Building rapport through continuous conversation and teamwork can also lead to better patient compliance and outcomes.
