Orbis and Roche Pharma (Vietnam) have partnered to address the increasing incidence of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in Vietnam, where about seven million individuals have diabetes. The Vietnam Eye Health Program will unfold over two years in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, targeting the screening and treatment of an estimated 27,000 individuals with diabetic eye disease. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure through training, advanced diagnostic tools, and AI-assisted telemedicine, ultimately reducing preventable blindness in the country.
