Color vision deficiency (CVD) may adversely affect the detection of cancers like bladder cancer due to difficulties in identifying visible blood signs, which are crucial for early diagnosis. This study, utilizing the TriNetX electronic health records, compared survival outcomes between patients with bladder and colorectal cancers and documented CVD. Results indicated significantly lower survival rates in bladder cancer patients with CVD, while no differences were observed in colorectal cancer survival. This highlights the need to recognize CVD in clinical settings to enhance cancer detection.
