Recent research highlights dedicator of cytokinesis 10 (DOCK10) as a promising diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for insulinoma, a rare pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor linked to hypoglycemia. Analysis of human insulinoma samples and patient-derived organoids revealed consistent overexpression of DOCK10 in insulin-secreting tumor components. This specificity aids in distinguishing functional tumors, particularly in cases with multiple lesions. The study suggests that targeting DOCK10 could enhance understanding and management of insulinomas.
