New AACR President-Elect and Board Members Announced

Robert H. Vonderheide, MD, DPhil, a prominent figure in cancer immunotherapy, has been elected the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) President-elect for 2026–2027. He will officially assume the role in April 2026 during the AACR Annual Meeting in San Diego and will become President in April 2027 at the meeting in Orlando. A leader at the Abramson Cancer Center, he is recognized for his groundbreaking work in immunobiology and the development of novel cancer treatments, including telomerase vaccination and checkpoint blockade therapies.
