Tolerance to Astigmatism with a Full Visual Range IOL

Share

Patients undergoing cataract surgery often experience corneal astigmatism, requiring effective strategies for correction to achieve spectacle independence. This necessitates the use of toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) and careful surgical technique. Recent studies highlighted the Tecnis Odyssey IOL's exceptional tolerance for residual astigmatism, demonstrating that the majority of patients maintain high visual acuity even with defocus. Additionally, patient satisfaction was notable, with 96.6% reporting reduced reliance on spectacles, showcasing the IOL's benefits for active individuals.
