In spring 2024, 70 researchers from 14 countries gathered at Singapore University of Technology and Design to participate in the 'ezyMRI' hackathon, aimed at constructing an MRI instrument in just 72 hours. The event was structured around seminars and hands-on construction, with teams focusing on key components like magnets and RF coils. Utilizing affordable techniques such as 3D printing, the project emphasized open-source methodologies to advance portable MRI technology. The endeavor provided valuable educational experiences, enhancing participants' confidence in MRI design.
