Higher Heart Risk Seen in Inflammatory Arthritis With IFG

A study of 13,905 patients with inflammatory arthritis revealed that those with impaired fasting glucose or using sulfonylureas may face a higher risk of major adverse cardiovascular events. Elevated glucose levels and certain diabetes medications were associated with increased cardiovascular risks, emphasizing the importance of proactive glucose management in patients with inflammatory arthritis.
