1
Insufficient maxillary bone height is common post-extraction.

2
Osseodensification enhances bone density for sinus grafting.

3
Protocol IV is for cases with RBH ≤0.5–1.5 mm.

4
The method reduces surgery time and complications.

5
Average healing time before implant placement is 4-6 months.

Insufficient bone volume and density in the posterior maxilla can hinder implant placement and its long-term success, necessitating sinus grafting. Osseodensification, a novel method using specially designed burs, enhances bone density and allows for transcrestal maxillary sinus augmentation. This technique facilitates simultaneous compaction and grafting of autogenous bone, improving surgery outcomes by reducing complications and recovery times. Protocol IV, tailored for cases with ≤0.5–1.5 mm residual bone height, offers a minimally invasive approach to sinus elevation for effective implant placement.
